Questions before you upload?
Does this work on faded thermal receipts?
Yes, within reason. Our engine handles low-contrast prints, but a receipt that's already unreadable to a human will be unreadable to OCR. Snap from a flat surface in good light for the best results.
Will it itemize line items into separate fields?
The free tier returns the receipt's text as cleaned plain text. The Business tier adds Azure AI structured extraction that returns named fields (vendor, date, total, line items) as JSON.
Can I scan receipts in other languages?
Yes. We OCR receipts in 100+ languages and can translate the result into any of them in one step.
Is this good for tax / bookkeeping records?

What happens to my files after I scan them?
Files are processed over TLS, stored encrypted at rest, and deleted from the OCR queue after extraction. Free-tier history is kept 30 days; paid-tier history is forever or until you delete it.
