Delete your account.
Two paths, depending on whether you still have the app. Either way, you have time to change your mind.
From inside the app
Open ScanThisText → Settings → Delete account, in the Android app or signed in on the web. The account stops working right away and is permanently deleted 30 days later. If it has an email address, we email you the exact date with a link to keep your account until then.
Paid plans bought on the web stop renewing straight away. We also ask Google Play to stop a subscription bought there, but cancel it in Google Play to be sure, or Google may keep billing it.
No app installed?
Email support@scanthistext.com with subject Delete my data, from the address on your account if you can. Within 24 hours we email that address to confirm the deletion, and the account is permanently deleted 14 days later.
The confirmation always goes to the address on the account, not to whoever wrote in, so the real owner always hears about it and can keep the account.
Changed your mind?
Press Keep my account in the email we sent. It works until the date in that email, and the account and everything in it stay as they were. Without the email, write to support before that date.
When the date arrives, your scans, the text extracted from them, your uploaded files, translations, invoices and customer records and your profile are permanently deleted. If an invoice payment is still processing, a Google Play subscription is still renewing, a team you own still has other members or the account is blocked, we finish once that is resolved. Images the Android app sent until October 2026 were stored without a link to any account, so they can't be found and deleted with it. Billing records are kept as the law requires.
